By the way, the Heartland shawl is coming along nicely, although I hit a bit of a bump in the road.

Patience is a virtue
What's the definition of frustrating? Knitting 30 rows of lace only to lay it out, look at it and discover that it's all wonky. Ripping it back, knitting another ten rows, only to discover that you hadn't ripped back far enough! Not that I'm saying that's what I did or anything. But boy wouldn't that be frustrating? Wouldn't you just want to lay your knitting down and have a good f-fest? Not that I'm saying that's what I did or anything.

Bliss is . . . getting up early with two of my boys and going to the barn to do chores; knitting while I wait for them to finish up with the horses; and sharing a guffaw with them on the way home as we listen to Stuart Maclean's Vinyl Cafe. Horses and yarn - perfection. Honestly, does it get any better than this? Well, yes it could if I was knitting something I really love instead of pushing myself (or punishing myself) to finish something I'm going to give away because I can no longer stand the sight of it! Perhaps it needs to be hibernated?
